Meet Anthony Garcia

What’s up Catapulting Commissions Family!!! Sorry, I can’t help myself. I always say hello to my podcast listeners in that fashion.

We are making the assumption that you are here learning more about who the heck is Anthony Garcia and how can he help grow sales for my company.

That is a fair question, and rather than sell you who I am and all the fun credentials I would rather share a little about myself that is often found in my professional bio. (If you are looking for that only, it’s at the bottom of this page.)

Long before I became a published author, international keynote speaker, and CEO of my own consulting firm. I was a young kid from Oxnard who had a passion for public speaking and enjoyed inspiring people who would listen to me. 

While attending Azusa Pacific University, I was on the search for a part-time job that would work around my football schedule. It was at this time that I was introduced to my first direct sales job. Prior to this introduction,  I was a confused college student and didn’t really have an idea of what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. 

After attending my first formal sales training program, I knew I had finally found my calling in life. Since that day, I have been in love with understanding sales, the psychology of why people buy, how to make uncapped income, and setting challenging goals. 

A few years later, I launched my own business and built my first sales team. I had over 100 sales reps working for me and I trained and developed each one of them. I was 22 years old at the time and didn’t understand the complexities of running a business. Eventually that business closed after 3 years. I wasn’t well-versed in taxes and money management.  

The day I closed my business I sat in tears in an empty office and was discouraged that I failed. I went home and made it my mission to learn everything I could about sales and business. I spent many years in corporate America to see what mistakes I made as a small business owner.

There were a few tools that I wished I had when I was a young sales entrepreneur. I wish I had an ongoing sales training program that wasn’t antiquated and was constantly updated with the current trends of business. I also wished there was someone I could have spoken to that wasn’t my manager and who could provide high-quality coaching on my business issues.

After climbing the corporate ladder and seeing that I was still being called to help sales professionals and entrepreneurs navigate the complex world of business. I decided to write a book and launch a consulting company to help with the tools I wanted as a sales professional and entrepreneur. It was here that Catapulting Commissions was born.
