How to effectively work from home?
If you work in professional services or sales, there is high likelihood that you are working from home. Don’t worry, you are not alone. There is an influx of professionals who are working from home for the very first time. In my most recent video blog, I break down the three fundamentals necessary to be effective while working at home.
#1 – Tackle the highest priority task first. By doing this, you are ensuring you are putting you best effort first. We naturally have the tendency to procrastinate and we can’t afford to procrastinate on our most important task.
#2 – Get up and get dressed. By doing this, you are now putting yourself in the correct mental state to become productive. This one shift is what helped me get Catapulting Commissions off the ground. I often struggled to get task complete at home when I wasn’t dressed for success.
#3 – Protect your working space. By doing this, you are creating boundaries in your space of productivity. The other members of your home should know what you working space is and when to let you work. This can only happen when you set the correct expectations first.
Working from home can be just as productive as working at an office. The key is setting the correct expectations and ensuring that you hold yourself accountable to your goal.
Good luck during this temporary transition period. Be safe and I will see you next week.
